ABOUT
The 5-yr-old Chapeau de Mauretus Z has not officially started in any show, but he went to training shows. What we see here is a great promise for the future that will make many professional riders happy. A showjumping horse with a lot of scope and a magnificent hindleg technique. A real athlete to see out of the performance family of the Olympic top class mare Sapphire ridden by McLain Ward and the 1.60m GP stallion Glasgow-W van het Merelsnest under Jur Vrieling.
Sire Cicero Z Van Paemel is one of the best breeding Carthago sons. He jumped 1.60m Grand Prix under Dirk Demeersman as if it was nothing. His sons Icos and Eristov were even placed at 1.70m Grand Prix level under respectively Nicola Philippaerts (BEL) and Jordan Coyle (IRL).
Dam Walentina van ’t Merelsnest (Darco x Cardinal xx) is a valuable broodmare. She produced Bolero 111 (1.60m Grand Prix) and the 1.45m level placed La Luna de Mauretus and Karamel de Mauretus Z. She is also grandam of the BWP licensed stallion Eyeball vd Moervelde Z (El Barone 111 Z).
Chapeau’s grandam Chiquita supplied four 1.40m level showjumping horses, including the licensed stallion Quinten van ’t Merelsnest (Darco). This family already supplied numerous international showjumping horses.
