‘Will this be the auction winner?’ was the online slogan for T-Touch JW van ‘t Meulenhof. Now that this Youhorse.auction is over, we can answer this question: Yes! And for 45,000 euro. The same American international showjumping rider bought a total of four horses on Tuesday 5 July.
T-Touch JW van ’t Meulenhof (Nixon van’ t Meulenhof x Elvis Ter Putte) is only a 3-yr-old, but under saddle displays incredible potential over the fence. A great talent that many riders are looking for, bred out of the celebrated Fragance de Chalus family, as are the 1.60m Grand Prix stallions Mylord Carthago and Bamako de Muze.
“Great to see that this night there were several buyers buying more than one horse, and there were also bargains. There were new clients again and people who had bought here before and were confident to make new investments”, says Mario Everse who, together with Alan Waldman, is running Youhorse.auction.
USA on a shopping spree
What else was bought by the USA? A few examples: for the 4-yr-old Neredie (Impala SMH x Bacardi VDL) the winning bid was for 32,000 euro; the 3-yr-old Trop Pleasure N (For Pleasure x Plot Blue) went for 30,000 euro and the 5-yr-old Cornetskarl (Cornets Boy x Balou du Rouet) will cross the ocean for 28,000 euro.
There were a number of horses that changes hands for prices ranging from 7,000 to 10,000 euro, which keeps Youhorse.auction interesting for many investors. There is something for every budget.
Sport- & breeding auction
The next Youhorse.auction, from 30 July to 2 August, is already the 25th edition and this one will be slightly different than before. This is a sport- & breeding auction with showjumping horses, showjumping foals, broodmares, embryos and possibly approved stallions.
“Alan and I will make contributions ourselves, but breeders can still register their stock. Since the start of Youhorse.auction we managed to develop a valuable circle of clients and among them are many who are interested in foals and broodmares. We organized breeding auctions before and they were well received. Because the demand for sport horses is high, we will also add these to our collection. I think it will be a very interesting auction!”
The selection- annex photo/video days are next Monday 11 and Tuesday 12 July at Stal Everse in Waddinxveen.
