THREE WENT FOR 32,000 EURO AT YOUHORSE.AUCTION

In the next few weeks scores of horses will fly from the Netherlands to their new stables abroad. On Tuesday 7 September many people went on a shopping spree in the 14th edition of Youhorse.auction. For three horses the bidding online even went up to 32,000 euro.
“As long as they have good quality and jump well, there is still a great demand for the horses”, says Mario Everse, who first organised the online auction last year, together with Alan Waldman, in the early phase of the lockdown. “We again managed to sell the majority of them. There were a lot of new clients, but it also feels good to see the regular Youhorse.auction clients bidding and buying again. They must be pleased with the horses they got from our auction or else they would not come back for more.”
Price highlights
Of the three horses that were knocked down for 32,000 euro two go to the USA. These are the palomino Macciato HDH (Ice Cream HDH x Oklund) out of the 1.60m Grand Prix mare Anastasia HDH and the 9-yr-old Hertogin Eva (Arezzo VDL x Indoctro), who had produced two foals already before starting her sport career. The 3-yr-old Spirit van de Gaathoeve (Eras STE Hermelle x Lord Z) will move to Switzerland.
And for 30,000 euro the 4-yr-old Casablanca Z (Cornet Obolensky x Numero Uno) will become the stablemate of Macchiato HDH. A Polish client bought three horses, including the 3-yr-old Soricco van ’t Slot (Grandorado TN x Nabab de Reve) for 22,000 euro and the 5-yr-old Love me Tender (Cornet Obolensky x Numero Uno) for 17,000 euro. Sweden claimed four horses, the Netherlands got three. Other buyers are from Great Britain, Ireland, Belgium, Finland, Rumenia and Italy.
“We are pleased with the results. It had been quite a job to film and photograph the horses. Although there has been a lot of rain, we still decided to stay outdoors. We want to stick to nature as much as possible with the horses. Tonight feels like a real reward for the input of our team and the sellers”, says Mario Everse.
Next auction
Youhorse.auction is organising an online auction every Tuesday of the month and that means that the focus is immediately on the next auction, the 15th edition already, running from 2 to 5 October. The photograph/video-day is planned for next week. Owners can enter their 2-yr-old and older horses for selection and then present them to the broad international network of Youhorse.auction.
