CUPIDO HITS THE MARK IN YOUHORSE.AUCTION

The Valentine edition from Youhorse.auction on Tuesday 6 February turned out a hit. The collection made many hearts beat faster, but the 5-yr-old Odin was the tastemaker. The daughter of Il Est Balou x Gaillard de la Pomme was sold to Switzerland for 46,000 euro.
Auction organizer Mario Everse explains from sunny Spain: “The evening went very well! We could welcome many new buyers, but also our regulars were shopping to their heart’s content. At the moment my team and I are on the Sunshine Tour and it is great to meet up again with former auction horses that are doing very well under their new owners. I am constantly approached by happy riders and owners and that is what we are doing it for, of course!”
The success of an offspring of Aganix du Seigneur sold via Youhorse.auction had wetted the appetite of a client from Ireland. This time his choice was the 5-yr-old gelding Ubach Z (Uricas van de Kattevennen x Casall), for which he was willing to pay 40,500 euro.
Two horses stopped the counter at 38,000 euro: the 6-yr-old gelding Quimbim 3 (Quim x Com Air I) is one of eight horses to leave for Germany. The 5-yr-old stallion Leonardo W (Leandro VG x Denzel van ‘t Meulenhof) will cross over to Mexico for the same amount.
The 6-yr-old Cormeta van de Eijkhof Z (Cornet Obolensky x Calvados) will move to the United Arabian Emirates. The mare from the line of Kannan was knocked down for 30,000 euro. She will be accompanied on her way by the 8-yr-old gelding Theodore de Landry Z (Thunder van de Zuuthoeve x Lord Z) who went for 26,000 euro. The 10-yr-old Jolavsca Fortuna (Carrera VDL x Casco) can display her experience at 1.30m levelin Canadian shows.
The popularity of talented horses proved universal again for this edition. The 54 horses in the collection receivedbids from all over the world. For example, the 4-yr-old Ulando van het Paardenhof (El Barone III x Vannan) will even travel to South Africa. Eleven horses were sold to the USA.
Next auction on 5 March
The next Youhorse.auction is planned for Tuesday 5 March. “In March we focus on sport and breeding, with, in addition to the loose jumping talents and ridden horses, also special broodmares and embryos. Monday 12 and Tuesday 13 February we organize the selection and video days. Anyone having a remarkable sport talent, interesting broodmare or genetically superior embryo for sale can enter these via www.youhorse.auction”, Mario Everse concludes.
