CHRISTMAS EDITION GREAT END OF YEAR FOR YOUHORSE.AUCTION

Dec 21, 2022 · Christmas Youngsters & ridden 17 December - 20 December 2022

Youhorse.auction has gone out of 2022 with a bang! The forty lots of the Christmas collection received interest from all corners of the world. “A fitting closure of a successful auction year”, according to Mario Everse.

With this Christmas auction, Mario Everse and Alan Waldman organized their 30th Youhorse.auction. Quite a milestone and the two gentlemen are very happy. “We managed to conclude the year with a fine collection. This time we had no special price highlights, but reached a fine average price. In addition, quite a lot of horses found new owners and that is the most important thing”, says Mario Everse.

“We have welcomed a great deal of clients in 2022 and sell many really good horses. It is pleasant that we have gained the confidence of the better breeders who offer their stock time and again. Sometimes it is hard, for there are a great many auctions. The market decides and that is what makes auctions so exciting. Fortunately, everybody is enthusiastic, so we move into the new year full of confidence.”

Christmas presents purchased by the other side of the world
Even last week the 7-yr-old Dou Cati (Douglas x Couleur Rubin) won two classes at 1.20m and 1.30m level. Canadian buyers realized her potential and placed the winning bid of 30,000 euro. Buyers from the USA also scored their last Christmas presents, no less than five horses. One of these is Ti Amigo (For Pleasure x Power Light), the full brother to Olympic team gold winner Flora de Mariposa. The 3-yr-old chestnut stallion’s free jumping qualities earned 18,000 euro.

The suitably named 6-yr-old Liberty (Grandorado TN x Cantos) will also go to the USA, for 20,000 euro. In Australia the virtual auction hammer knocked down in the early morning, but that did not form a problem for the brand new owners of the 5-yr-old Eli’s Sister James (Epleaser van ’t Heike x Quality Touch Z).

Europe keeps talents
The other auction horses will mostly stay in Europe. In foal to F One USA, the broodmare Geville (Diarado x Berlin) will go to Estonia. The 7-yr-old Kenzo Buitenrust (Dexter R x Lands River) will go south to Italy for 22,000 euro and the 5-yr-old Manfred (Messenger x Calvaro Z) goes to Germany for 19,000 euro.

Buyers from Sweden fell for the always popular blood of Cardento and their winning bid of 22,000 euro earned them Stadento (Stakkato Gold x Cardento). Naturally, several talents were secured by the Netherlands. The 3-yr-old Utah (Uricas vd Kattenvennen x Casall ASK) clocked out at 26,000 euro and will start under the Dutch flag. This also applies to one of the ponies: Candy Créole (Calido-G x Cartusch) was knocked down for 19,000 euro. The 7-yr-old mare has already gained a lot of experience at 1.10m level and even last Sunday claimed a champion’s title, which, no doubt, is only the beginning of a successful sport career.

“For the first time we also auctioned a few yearlings. That age may be known as not the best sales moment, but they nevertheless sold very well. French buyers bid 18,000 euro for the Tabago son Tabasco”, says an enthusiastic Mario Everse.

New Year auction
The end of the year in sight, the organization is already looking forward to 2023. “In the new year we will continue the well-known recipe. This means that on every first Tuesday of the month an auction is concluded. We are able to herald the new year with another collection of impressive showjumping horses. On Tuesday 3 January the first auction of 2023 will close. Behind the screen, we are already hard at work, for the collection will be online next Saturday! So, keep monitoring our website, where you will also find the agenda for the next video days for which people can enter via the special entry form. For now, we wish everyone a festive time and hope to welcome you in 2023!”, Mario Everse concludes.
