Oct 7, 2026 · AW · 'OCTOBER EDITION' YOUHORSE.AUCTION under the saddle, loose jumping & breeding October 3 - 6 & 7 2026
The 80th edition of Youhorse.auction got underway on Tuesday, October 6, attracting international interest and offering plenty of opportunities for buyers looking for quality at competitive prices. The top price of the opening evening was paid for Mr Cochac PS (Messenger x Conthargos), who sold to a buyer in Canada for €45,000. Tonight, Wednesday, October 7, the exciting conclusion follows as the second part of the collection goes under the hammer.
The seven-year-old Mr Cochac PS is now preparing for a long journey overseas. Buyers from all over the world were active throughout the collection, with horses also sold to countries including Japan and Egypt. On the first evening alone, horses changed hands with buyers from no fewer than 17 different countries.
The collection also attracted interest from some of the biggest names in the sport, including a former Olympic rider and winner of the Rolex Grand Prix of Aachen, who added one of the auction horses to their string.
Youhorse talent comes to the fore
Alongside the more experienced horses, there was strong interest in promising young talent. Buria Waldstar (Bamako de Muze x Thunder van de Zuuthoeve) will remain in the Netherlands. The four-year-old mare also boasts an interesting sporting pedigree: her dam Fleur de l’Aube competed at 1.60m level with Jessica Springsteen.
Three-year-old Choco Lover Z (Chaccotage Blue PS x Messenger) found a new owner in Slovakia.
“We saw several young horses tonight that I am sure we will see again at young horse championships in the future,” says Mario Everse. “Last month, no fewer than twelve horses competing at the World Championships in Lanaken had previously been sold through Youhorse.auction. That is something we are naturally very proud of!”
Jubilee edition set for exciting finale tonight
The anniversary edition is only halfway through, with plenty more horses still to discover. Tonight, Wednesday, October 7, the second part of the October Auction closes, featuring another diverse group of talented showjumpers going under the digital hammer.
“There is still a lot of quality waiting for tonight,” Everse looks ahead. “The first evening showed that there are opportunities for many different types of buyers. Tonight, buyers once again have the chance to secure their favourite. So take another good look at the collection. Your next top horse might still be waiting for you.”
