Showjumping foals and broodmares with proven genes, they sell! During the first breeding stock auction from Youhorse.auction on Monday-night, there was a great deal of interest in many items of the collection. For example, the broodmare Lester van ’t Roosakker (Zandor Z), granddaughter of the 1.60m Grand Prix mare Electra van ’t Roosakker, was knocked down for 29,000 euro for a professional breeder from the Netherlands.
“Unfortunately, not every item got sold”, explains Mario Everse, who organises Youhorse.auction together with Alan Waldman. “That is reality for you. We are glad about those who did change owners. We are bound to hear from those again, for several broodmares and foals ended up in highly professional hands. The fact that the bids came from all over the world, gives us good hope, as well. People now know how to find Youhorse.auction. Tonight comes part two of the breeding stock auction and we may well expect it to be dynamite. We have some real sensational foals and broodmares in the collection, descending from top-class sires such as Big Star, Cornet Obolensky, Balou du Rouet, Chin Chin, Catoki, Comme il Faut and Plot Blue, and even an embryo by Chacco Blue out of the full sister of Etoulon VDL!”
At 20.30 hours the online bidding on www.youhorse.auction will close with groups of five. After each bid the auction will be extended by five minutes.
Yesterday there were buyers from the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France and Great Britain, but also from Chile, the USA, Spain, Austria and Poland. Three foals will even travel as far as to Mexico: Penoze de la Dique (Boyfriend du Seigneur) for 11,500 euro, Como Z (Codex One) for 18,000 euro and Extra Quality Z (Eldorado van de Zeshoek) for 15,500 euro. The Luidam son Louis Z leaves for the USA for 15,500 euro and Cornstar Z (Cornet du Lys) will go to Belgium for 14,000 euro. The lowest price of the auction was 4,500 euro and the average price was 10,420 euro.
