YOUHORSE.AUCTION MAKES IT EASY FOR BUYERS AND SELLERS…

Did you ever consider selling a horse at an auction? Scores of sellers use Youhorse.auction every month and appreciate the ease and comfort offered by the Dutch online auction from Mario Everse and his team.
Since the beginning of the first Covid lockdown thousands of horses have already been sold at Youhorse.auction, especially to foreign countries. Now the 42nd edition is coming up: The Christmas auction from 16 to 19 December and New Year’s auction from 30 December to 2 January, for which horses can still be entered. The selection- and video-days for both auctions will be held in a merry atmosphere on 27 and 28 November at Stal Everse in Waddinxveen.
“In the first editions of Youhorse.auction we mostly sold our own horses from our own breeding, but very soon horses from other owners were added and in the last 2.5 years we sold horses world-wide. Because our auction takes place on the first Tuesday every month, buyers and sellers know how to find us. Only the Christmas edition takes place a little later”, says Mario Everse.
Youhorse.auction has a number of spearheads:
- We treat the horses and sellers as we would like to be treated ourselves.
- The first selection for an invitation to the selection- and video-day is based on a video of the horse sent to us by the seller.
- Once invited, the horse will arrive at Stal Everse in Waddinxveen at a certain time and can return home one-and-a-half hours later. In that time it has been photographed and filmed and clinically examined (clinical examination has to be paid there and then).
- Until the moment that the horse is selected, everything is without any obligation.
- Owners are able to buy the horse back if there is no bid for the asking price. Costs charged for this are 500 euro (for the photographs, video’s, texts and promotion of the horse).
- If the horse gets sold, Youhorse.auction charges a 10% commission of the sales price.
- Asking prices are determined in mutual agreement with Youhorse.auction. We do not want a ‘mission impossible’ but a competitive price and the best possible chance of a sale.
- On the selection day the horses are handled by professionals in the free jumping or ridden by expert riders, which is a pluss for many breeders.
- The horses receive world-wide attention because we have developed a large clientele and run world-wide advertising campaigns.
- Youhorse.auction has content buyers that come back every month.
“We find that some dealers make it their business to scout horses at breeders in order to offer these at our auction. That must be good business or else they would not come back”, Mario Everse reasons.
