Now this is an athletic jumping horse if any there is one. In addition, Urwin on Fire vd Smockelaer Z has a beautiful type, is pleasant to handle and to work with and is very careful over the fence.
Did you know that top-class rider Harrie Smolders is a big fan of the sire Uricas van de Kattevennen? The 10-yr-old stallion made his debut at 1.60m level in July and will even score grander achievements. He has already won almost 130,000 euro in prize money since June. The biggest bang (75,000 euro) was due to his third place in the Brussels Masters.
On damside the 1.60m Grand Prix stallions Quidam de Revel and Oklund fortify the pedigree. Dam Elaine van de Smockelaer is a half-sister of Cartouche (1.45m level showjumping) and two 1.30m to 1.35m level horses. Great-grandam Palandra (Lancelot x Ramiro Z) produced Ankara Champblanc (1.50m GP) and is a half-sister of the 1.60m GP horses Qulander Z and Alandra. A real sport family.
