This is another really great horse. Union van de Donkhoeve is a large-framed, beautiful modelled stallion with a good balance and movements. He backs up good on the jump and displays a good technique.
Sire is the in 2015-born Prestige van het Kluizebos, who inherited a lot of quality and the modern looks from his sire Halifax van het Kluizebos (Heartbreaker). Prestige’s dam is also the full sister of top-class progenitor Clinton and she also produced the Grand Prix stallion Contact van de Heffinck.
Union's dam Gerona van de Donkhoeve Z is a daughter of the KWPN-approved 1.60m Grand Prix stallion Grand Slam VDL (Cardento). Her 7.5-year-old half-brother Pablo van de Donkhoeve (Etoulon VDL) is a Zangersheide approved stallion who jumps at international 1.35m level with Kessy van Berlo (NED).
Grandam Luna van de Donkhoeve competes international at 1.30-1.35m level. She descends from Halifax de Laubry, son of the Olympic stallion Chin Chin and the 1.60m Grand Prix mare Loreen. Great-grandam Tendresse van de Donkhoeve, half-sister to VDL Fakir (1.60m Grand Prix), descends from Nabab de Reve x Zadok.
Also closely related are the 1.60m GP horses Utopia van de Donkhoeve, Belano vd Wijnhoeve, Farao of Heritage and Allegro van de Donkhoeve, Hamlet VD (1.55m GP) and several 1.50m level and 1.45m level showjumping horses.
