SIERRA OPTIMA

The six-year-old Sierra Optima gave an Emerald foal in 2023, which was sold for €18,000. She started under saddle, delivered a few embryos this year, and is now ready for her first show. She is a light-footed mare with an excellent character and the talent to effortlessly jump a higher fence. Easy to ride and suitable for an amateur or semi-professional. 

Sire is none other than Ermitage Kalone, who competed in the Paris Olympics with Gilles Thomas and has fans all over the world due to his sublime performances in the ring. 

Dam Coline (1.20m level showjumping) is sired by Jaleo du Defey, who was bred out of the half-sister of Ephebe For Ever (1.60m Grand Prix). Coline gave the 1.45m level horses Monaco Optimus and Maximus Optimus, as well as Matinee Optima J&F (1.40m level) and Novastar Optima (1.35m). 

Granddam Topaline (Major de la Cour) jumped 1.50m courses, produced Maestro de Brandegem (1.55m Grand Prix) and is bred out of the famous Opaline des Pins (Garitchou X), the dam of the 1.60m Grand Prix horses Jus de Pomme (Olympic champion Atlanta), Shogoun II, Quintus, Richebourg and Tresor d’Opaline. This bloodline also produced O’Bailey van het Brouwershof (1.60m GP with Maikel van der Vleuten).
