ABOUT
With his good jumping technique, good balance and easy character, Shadow d’Houtem will go very far in sport. This 4-yr-old gelding jumps every fence exactly the same way and shows a lot of scope.
We cannot imagine showjumping horse breeding without Diamant de Semilly in it. He performed at top-class level for many years in a row and supplied a very big amount of top-class sport horses. Think of the licensed stallions Don VHP Z, Dominator Z, Darshan and Mumbai, who were all placed at 1.65m and 1.70m level or the influential Emerald van ’t Ruytershof.
Shadow d’Houtem gets a lot of scope from Querlybet Hero and Kashmir Van Schuttershof, two popular 1.60m Grand Prix stallions amongst breeders. Dam Gitte d’Houtem already produced an international showjumping horse: the 12-yr-old Konique d’Houtem (1.45m level). She is a half-sister of Hannah (1.70m Grand Prix under Steve Guerdat and later Henrik Von Eckermann), Isi d’Houtem (1.40m level) and the 7-yr-old Pablo d’Houtem (1.30m level with Cory Hardy, USA).
