2022 will be the start of the sport career of Salvino van ’t Schawijke, a 4-yr-old, This is precisely for what he was bred for. At first we liked Salvino very much because of his stunning conformation and his good jumping technique, but than he also showed himself to be a very smart jumper, and we need smart horses to win a class!
The 7-yr-old sire Opium van de Middelstede has a highly promising pedigree as son of Bisquet Balou van de Mispelaere (1.60m Grand Prix) out of the 1.50m level showjumping mare Labelle van de Middelstede (Emerald van ‘t Ruytershof).
Salvino is out of the BWP-mare Micheline van ’t Schawijke, who descends from the 1.50m level s stallion Triomphe de Riverland (Cornet Obolensky). Her grandsire Carabas van de Wateringhoeve (Toulon x Darco) jumped at 1.60m level.
