This is a fantastic 4-yr-old. Orio Emaire does not only has an amazing sport type, but also the qualities that every professional is looking for in a showjumping horse. A very good use of his body, he doesn’t want to make mistakes, a handy canter and a big heart. This seems to become a real winner.
The 8-yr-old Poker de Mariposa gives a good impression in international 1.40m and 1.45m classes with Kars Bonhof. He is very interestingly bred as son of Nabab de Reve out of the 1.60m Grand Prix mare Ilena de Mariposa (Berlin). Grandam is the top-class showjumping mare Flora de Mariposa (For Pleasure), who has been very successful under Penelope Leprevost (FRA) for years in a row.
Orio Emaire is bred out of Uniek Emaire (Heartbreaker), the full sister of the 1.60m Grand Prix horse Sweetheart, competing in the USA under Todd Minikus and Christine Tribble McCrea. Uniek Emaire already produced two international showjumping horses herself: Hetty Emaire (1.55m Grand Prix under Maximilian Schmid, GER) and Felix-Emaire (1.40m level under Kathrin Müller, GER).
Uniek Emaire jumped at 1.30m level, like her dam Now or Never (Libero H x Jasper). Now or Never also passed on her qualities very well with offspring such as Sweetheart (1.60m GP), Zorlando (1.50m level), Hinde Emaire (1.40m level) and two 1.30m level showjumping horses. Her full brother Grupo Prom Tarzan performed at 1.50m level.
