OLIVERA TARPANIA

ABOUT

Olivera Tarpania (Cornet Obolensky x Grand Slam VDL) is a lovely seven-year-old grey mare by Cornet Obolensky: light-footed, with blood and a big canter. She has a great attitude, easy scope and a careful, beautiful jumping style. She does everything with great ease and a lot of willingness.

She takes you nicely to the fence, gives the rider a good feeling over the jump and feels safe. There is still some work to do: at the moment she could close up a little more easily. She comes across as honest and has already had a foal. Our rider Renske rode her and thinks there is more to come.

We think she is a nice horse for the more experienced amateur to bring on further, and she is suitable for several disciplines. In the end you will get a great deal of pleasure out of her, because the willingness is definitely there.

Sire
Cornet Obolensky jumped 1.60m and is one of the most influential showjumping sires of the past twenty years. His offspring include, among others:
• Balou du Reventon – 1.70m
• Clooney 51 – 1.70m
• Coree – 1.70m

Dam
Karouchidee Tarpania is a daughter of Grand Slam VDL.

Granddam
Dechide DN, by Indorado, jumped 1.35m herself and produced:
• Inchidee Tarpania – 1.50m, placed in the CSI3* in Neumünster
• Hilarius DN – 1.45m, placed in the CSI3* in Arezzo
Her daughter Kenchidee DN produced Oakley DN, who was placed internationally at 1.40m this year.

Dam line
Third dam Upchidee produced Cinderella (1.55m) and Gladstone D.N. (1.40m). The line of fourth dam Orchidee includes:
• Quite Magic – 1.55m, approved by Oldenburg among others, winner CSI2* Curitiba (1.50m)
• Hudson – 1.55m
• Eclips DN – 1.45m
The approved NRPS stallion Dangerous Man E.B., this year a 1.20m winner in the CSIYH1* in Zuidwolde, also comes from this line.

Olivera Tarpania brings her experience at 1.00m, her ster mare predicate and an honest character, with Cornet Obolensky as sire and a Tarpania damline that jumped internationally up to 1.55m. Interesting for both sport and breeding.
