We will hear from this one later, for sure. The 4-yr-old Merlina JJ is just saddle broken, but you can already see that she jumps with a lot of scope, is careful and had a natural good balance. A genuine ‘pleaser’ who always does her best under the saddle. Her 6-yr-old half-sister Koekoek’s Cornet (Cornet Obolensky) is already active at 1.35m level.
Sire Chapeau TN (Clearway) was the ISAH Cup winner as a 4-yr-old with a 9.2 for his jumping technique and as an 8-yr-old jumped at 1.45m level. Merlina JJ is from his first crop.
Dam Berlina is an elite-awarded mare by the 1.60m Grand Prix stallion Emilion, who passed on a lot of power to his offspring. Berlina scored for her IBOP 79 points and only eights for the jumping components and attitude. She is a half-sister to the 1.60m Grand Prix horse Van Schijndel’s Gladstone, ridden by Piet Raijmaker jr.
Grandam Serlina (Hemmingway x Legaat) is a half-sister to Verlinus (1.60m Grand Prix), Gerlina (1.40m level) and Perlina (1.40m level).
