What a wonderful horse! The 4-yr-old Macallan is blessed with great movements and sheer unlimited scope. We do not expect any less of him, being the son of Glennfiddich VDL.
The sport career of the 10-yr-old Glennfiddich VDL (1.35m level) has unfortunately not really been successful so far because of an operation due to his colic as a 4-yr-old, but he definitely has the necessary qualities. He is the only licensed son of showjumping miracle Bacardi VDL, who was placed at 1.65m Grand Prix level under Janika Sprunger.
Macallan’s 5-yr-old full sister Ladyhawke scored 79 points for her IBOP as a 3-yr-old for almost every part an 8 and was declared elite.
Dam Gwenhwyvar is an elite-awarded mare with the 1.60m Grand Prix stallions Cantos, Indorado and Fedor in the pedigree, complemented with the influential stallions Notaris and Marco Polo. She did a great IBOP with 75.5 points. Grandam Apolaris (Indorado) is started at international 1.40m level as an 8-yr-old ridden by Marcel de Boer (NED).
