ABOUT
The seven-year-old Komtessa is a mare with a wonderful character. She does everything with ease, no matter what you ask of her. She is a daughter of Argento, who was competed by John Whitaker up to 1.60m level.
Komtessa has produced two foals and is inseminated on 28 July with the seven-year-old Horizontal (Casall x Quick Star), ridden by Maikel van der Vleuten. Horizontal's dam Mel D'Argences jumped at top level under Edwina Tops-Alexander.
Dam Vontessa VA carries the valuable genes of Casall, Carolus and Landgraf I and has already gave two international showjumping horses: Danessa VA (1.45m level with Mathilda Karlsson and Ciaran Nallon) and Cobey VA (1.35m with Edmond Guntz Malblanc).
Great-granddam Vanessa III (Landgraf) herself performed at 1.45m level with Thies Luther (GER) and gave the approved stallions Calato (including father of Christian Ahlmann’s famous Cöster) and Calandro.
