The 6-yr-old Kilimanjaro was already remarkable at a tender age. Early 2018 he was referred to the third phase of the BWP stallion selection because of his lovely showjumping manners. He is still jumping in good style and he has a good attitude. A real ‘pleaser’, who has show experience at 1.30m level and will develop well in the years to come.
Sire Genius was the 2014 champion of the KWPN Stallion Show, but unfortunately did not live long due to kidney failure. And so this interestingly bred stallion was lost for breeding. He was a half-brother to the Grand Prix stallion Vleut and a grandson of the celebrated Grand Prix mare Audi’s Jikke.
Kilimanjaro is out of the Holsteiner mare Pippa (Coronado), who is also dam of the international 1.45m level horse Rumers Cascari, ridden by Olivia Gent (GBR). Grandam Libera (Libero H) performed under Jos Lansink up to 1.55m level and supplied, amongst others, the international 1.45m level Wind VA. Libera is also grandam of the BWP stallion Condor C (1.60m GP), Zafrina VA (1.50m) and Coconut Kiss VA. Her half-brothers Canaletto (licensed stallion) and Calido jumped 1.60m Grand Prix.
