When it comes to genetics, this unborn foal is set to have immense potential for the future. Not only does its sire line boast Cumano x Darco x Voltaire in succession, but its damline is equally impressive.

The most famous relative is undoubtedly Sapphire, McLain Ward’s top mare for many years and a team gold medalist at the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games.

Dam Nevada van ’t Merelsnest descends from Darco, just like Sapphire. Granddam Artemis van ’t Merelsnest competed at 1.40m level and produced three showjumping horses competing at 1.40m/1.45m level.

The great-granddam, Idjaz-C (Hedjaz), was an outstanding broodmare - not only as the dam of Sapphire but also of the 1.60m Grand Prix horses Livius van ’t Merelsnest and Qarco van ’t Merelsnest, as well as five 1.50m level showjumping horses.

* The deposit for the recipient mare is 2,000 euros (buying possible). This will be refunded after the mare returns to the seller's place in a good condition.

* The surrogate mare will be scanned and checked for pregnancy one more time before delivery.
