Sire Davinci van Erpekom, a skewbald son of the legendary Darco, is the full brother of the BWP stallion Eclips van Erpekom (1.45m level jumping) and half-brother of the BWP stallion Utah van Erpekom (1.60m level under John Whitaker).

Denzel is like the 1.35m show jumping horse Faswede-Jare van het Vrankenhof bred out of a daughter of the Olympic champion Jus de Pomme.
