You notice one thing straightaway: Cupido One van het Gouden Bit Z has the looks of his sire. Codex One, who was barely used for breeding during his sport career, has fortunately become fully available for breeding since 2019. The son of Contendro I had a glorious career at 5* level under Christian Ahlmann and the two of them earned more than 1.5 million euro in prize monies. Of the less than 40 offspring he earlier supplied, Curious George (1.60m level under Laura Kraut) and the approved stallions I Am Codex and Cantona TN Z have already drawn attention.
Cupido One, bred via ET, is out of the half-sister of the 1.60m Grand Prix showjumping horses Olimpic Star (Laudanum xx) and Valine (Clinton), the Grand Prix dressage horse Don Quichot (Quite Easy) and six other showjumping horses active at 1.30m to 1.45m level.
Dam Bell Epoque (Acorado) is a daughter of the valuable mare Reina Z (Ramiro Z x Almé). Reina Z is also grandam of the stallion Tresor (1.60m level), Capital Hamilton (1.55m level), Espoir (1.55m) and is an aunt of Balou 660 (1.60m level) and Mr. Cox Z (1.60m level).
