Now this is a real promise for the future. The 3-yr-old Ulomi van ’t Merelsnest from the line of McLain Ward’s medal-machine Sapphire really knows what showjumping is about. He has a lot of overview and a powerful take-off, displays good manners and jumps a higher oxer with a lot of ease.

Sire Leandro VG has jumped at 1.50m Grand Prix level under Jeroen De Winter (BEL). He was final winner of the Stallion Competition in Belgium as a 7-yr-old. As an 8-yr-old he jumped a clear round in his first Longines ranking competition (1.45m to 1.50m level).

Dam is the 7-yr-old Robilante van ’t Merelsnest (Diamant de Semilly), bred out of the full sister of the famous Sapphire.

Grandam Wendelina van’ t Merelsnest (Darco) has jumped at 1.50m level herself and is known for being the dam of  the successful 1.65m Grand Prix stallion Glasgow vh Merelsnest, who was part of the Dutch team under Jur Vrieling multiple times. Wendelina alos produced the 1.50m GP horses Edjaz van ’t Merelsnest, Karaat van ’t Merelsnest, Morton van ’t Merelsnest and Odin van ’t Merelsnest and seven horses at 1.40m to 1.45m level.

Great-grandam Idjaz-C supplied, in addition to Sapphire, another two 1.60m Grand Prix horses: Livius van ’t Merelsnest and Qarco van ’t Merelsnest and five horses at 1.50m level. This family produces top-sport horses!

 

Unfortunately, we occasionally have to deal with buyers who do not pay for their new purchase, but on the other hand, this offers new opportunities. This horse will also be auctioned again. An extra chance to buy it. The horse is as we describe him. There is nothing wrong with it, just unfortunately not paid for.
