This 2yo Contendro I son is something special! He has got the moves, a beautiful type, scope, and reflexes. It not only makes him very suitable for showjumping, but he will also make the hearts of eventer riders skip a beat. 

Sire Contendro I is a son of the influential Holsteiner sport horse producer Contendro and the top broodmare Bravo (Reichsgraf) that also foaled Jos Lansink’s former 1.60m GP stallion Caretano Z. Contendro I produced over sixty 1.60m GP showjumping horses and already sired over 100 approved stallions. Moreover, the stallion headed the WBFSH sire ranking Eventing for years. 

In Kontento du Roi, Holsteiner breeding is merged with a proven French damline. Dam Harcotique de Bremoy is a half-sister of multiple successful showjumping horses, including Andreas Kreuzer’s 1.60m GP horse Reskiou de la Roque (Kannan) that in turn foaled the 1.70m GP horse Uno de la Roque ridden by Francois Jr. Mathy.

Via Quidam de Revel the damline goes back to the Fair Play III-mare Narcotique. This mare jumped at 1.60m level herself before having an equally brilliant career in breeding. Four of her offspring were approved and jumped at 1.50m-1.60m level.
