Two of his half-brothers already reached 1.60m Grand Prix level, now it is up to Maugner de Lis Z. This 5-yr-old gelding is by the 9-yr-old Mosito van het Hellehof (Elvis Ter Putte), who is started at international 1.45m level by the Olympic showjumping rider Bernardo Cardoso De Resende Alves (BRA).

Maugnet  is saddle-broken a few months ago and can already jump a course as if he had never done anything else before. He also shows sheer unlimited power and a very good hindleg technique. 

Moeder Lorraine (Landsieger I) turned out to be a very valuable broodmare. Her early products are 1.60m Grand Prix showjumping horses: Uppie de Lis (riders Hayley Waters, Andrew Kocher and Sharn Worldley) and the very successful Willink, who in 2015 even made the Olympic longlist under Henk van de Pol. In addition, Lorraine is dam of three 1.30/1.35m level horses and the 6-yr-old AES-licensed stallion Kalho de Lis (1.20m level).

Grandam Asteria (Nuriel x Gondelier) is also the grandam of Marc Houtzager’s top-class horse Sterrehof’s Baccarat (1.60m GP), Futura (1.45m) and Dauphin (1.45m). Emile Hendrix’ former crack Audi’s Finesse is closely related, as is the KWPN-licensed stallion Applaus (1.50m level) and Eurohill’s Africa (1.60m GP).
