Sire Scotch on Ice Z impresses with his pedigree: a son of Stakkato out of the 1.60m Grand Prix mare Cold As Ice Z, who also produced As Cold As Ice Z (1.60m GP) and three 1.40-1.45m level showjumping horses. 

Shotgun's dam is by Grand Prix winner Comme il Faut and is a half-sister of Utem de Quintin (1.50m showjumping level). Both are bred from the French 1.45m level mare Quotcha de Quintin (Diamant de Semilly), who is a three-quarter sister of the 1.60m Grand Prix horses Diam's de Quintin and Item de Quintin. Quotcha's full brother Piaf de Quintin jumped at 1.50m level.
